Abe Sapien and his odd tales
I think this little bunch of short stories are as good as it gets in the area of expanding the hellboy universe. The premise starts by hellboy taking his time around the mysteries that engulf his sense of self and purpose. Abe is a great character, but I think that he is too dramatic around anything and the other agents don't differ too much in the way of speaking, making jokes in dangerous situations and character arcs. Lizz did seem like someone to balance Abe's indifference towards all, but I was mistaken, because she only got one story as the lady that must be rescued, despite being the savior for everyone involved.
