A classic every fantasy enjoyer should read!
"Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie."
Superb book that influenced an entire genre.
Some chapters of the book felt boring as story was dragging on forever.
The lore is HUGE and present basically everywhere in the book, and told in an immersive way.
I don't recommend reading it on paper, going for the ebook was definitely the best choice since we get easy access to the dictionary (the book is from 1954 and uses some unusual words) and also the search feature (both searching in the book and on Wikipedia as well).
I searched some names that either I didn't remember or didn't know or maybe they were simply in another language (Khazad-dûm x Moria I am looking at you) and it helped understanding the story a lot.
Definitely a classic and a must read for anyone who loves Fantastic settings and first grade worldbuilding.
