Never Leave Me

Never Leave Me (1953) -- (Avon Books, #S-132 / #S-228) by Harold Robbins, (1916-1997) '-' First published in 1954 as a paperback original by Avon Books, Never Leave Me is a curiosity in the Harold Robbins canon – along with Stiletto (1960) it’s probably the least-known Robbins book to be published during his lifetime. Almost certainly written quickly and for quick cash, it was published between A Stone For Danny Fisher (1952) and 79 Park Avenue (1955), while Robbins was still under contract to Alfred A. Knopf (...) set in the world of public relations and advertising. . .

Mr.Robbins writes of the hard-boiled upper income brackets, in the oak-panelled offices of New York big business, and the expense account frolics of Madison Avenue, and shows that they are not far removed from life on the streets of the lower East Side. He shows that they can be just as vicious, cruel, and deadly, where the motto is "I've got mine, the hell with everyone else". Never Leave Me is the story of one man from this world and of how he almost tore his life to pieces in a frenzy of passion and hunger for power. An intense and powerful story of ruthlessness in big business, and emotional entanglements in the life of the main character.
